A poem by Simon Tester

My Brother’s Six Pack

My brother has a six pack

I have a car

My brother has a six pack

I drink at all the bars

My brother has a six pack

I just send emails

My brother has a six pack

I’m scared of females

My brother has a six pack

But I’ve got GCSEs

My brother has a six pack

I’ve got a sexually transmitted disease.

The Story

This poem highlights the many ways in which my Brother must look at me with both envy and contempt. It was important that I could understand all the things he was missing out on by not being me.

“Yeah I suppose he can be a bit weird sometimes. But the Doctor’s did say he was a bit, you know, curly-wurly cuckoo.”
