A poem by Simon Tester

King Of Kings

When the time has arrived for me to decide

My future as king, will it pass like the tide?

I can honestly say without any regret

that leading the kingdom is a sure-fire bet.

But due to my greatness and my holy drive,

am I too good to let someone else drive?

I cannot imagine a kingdom without I

at the helm of the crust and without a slice.

So, it is with this I admin my future, I will sing

There is no way I am going to step down as king

The Story

This poem highlights the inner struggles and torment I endure being such a prodigious talent. Heavy is the poet crown that I wear. I hope people after reading this will spare a thought for me.

“There was one occasion, I think it was World Book Day, all the kids came in dressed as Biff & Chip, The Hungry Caterpillar etc. – then, in walks Simon dressed as Jesus shouting “I have returned, to be King of the Jews”. It wouldn’t have been a problem, but he was found trying to force the two Jewish children in the class to kneel before him and kiss his feet.”
