Man. Poet. Lover.
I don’t make poetry. Poetry makes me.
Simon Tester, 2020.
About me
I’m Simon. I’m a pretty big deal and so is my poetry. People say I’m a genius, so I guess I’m doing something right.
Awards & Features
Kent Mercury
My poem ‘Sleeping With The Fishies Tonight’ about a tragic drowning in Dover was featured in an April edition of the Deal & Dover Mercury, 1997.
Easter Poem Award
My Easter poem ‘What Egg Would Jesus Buy?’ was read out in a 1996 school assembly.
Kent Adscene
I used my entire birthday money to feature a poem in the Kent Adscene for 8 months during 2016. It would have been 10 months but they went bankrupt.
Kent Police
My poem ‘Tubby, Tubby Hippo Child’ was featured on the Kent Police website as a prime example of Cyber Bullying.
I PROVIDE THE UNEXPECTED
“When I asked Simon to write and perform a poem at the funeral of my Grandad, I never expected him to claim he’d faked his own death.”
